Hunting for the Tree of Life
by
Maria Teresa De Donato & Anneli Sinkko
Review
by Prof. Giovanna della Bella
Reading this book by Maria Teresa De Donato and Anneli Sinkko is like traveling a complex yet stimulating journey that leads you to discover the truth hidden in our eyes, the essentiality of which we could not taste.
It is "an exciting
spiritual journey" to understand the universal message addressed to all
humanity: examine the exemplary aspects of all religions to be able to overcome
the antagonisms and disputes that produce irreparable fractures. The purpose is
great and possibilist, given that we descend from common ancestors, and the
desire that has been in the search for humanity strong: the brotherhood. It is
a longed-for and shared sentiment that has cost so much in wars, barbarities,
massacres, and destruction, which we have never conquered.
The work carried out by
the authors is pre-guided and admirable for the argument dealt with: with a
capillary analysis and with a scientific and meticulous investigation, he
compared texts of different historical and religious origins to formulate an
objective validity thesis.
Through theology,
philosophy, philology, knowledge of the ancient classic, Christian, and pagan
world, they have examined content on the subject treated; they have realized a
relevant intra-international, intertextual and extractable analysis. The above
highlights a considerable and specific cultural baggage and a wise research
methodology that generated a quality product through effective collaboration.
The tree of life
represents a dense symbology of positive and auspicious meaning in the
collective imagination: many people prefer to possess it and/or give it as a
lucky charm. In the book, the authors make it the subject of a treaty that
opens many stimulating spirals for a wide-ranging cultural discussion aimed at
readers decidedly interested.
It is a book to read
carefully, and then the pleasure will take place because the authors, with
their clear and elegant style, with prose well organized in the speech, allow
you to browse all the pages and reach the end with great satisfaction.
Congratulations on the
work done with mastery, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to read it.
