Missing Puzzles (Abstract) - Autobiographical-historical-genealogical Novel (Author: Maria Teresa De Donato)

Missing Puzzles

(Abstract)

Can the lives of our ancestors help us to better understand who we are and where we are going?

Author Maria Teresa De Donato believes so.

Through some detailed genealogical research, her profound analysis of the personality traits and behaviors of those who came before her, the author closely examines history and how the latter shaped the life of her ancestors and ultimately, even more so, that of her family.

From the time of the barbarian invasions to date, after travelling through the Middle Ages and focusing above all on the 18th and 19th centuries, she accurately reports all major events that characterized Europe throughout history, with special regards to the House of Swabia from which her paternal ancestry originated, the most likely Greek roots from her maternal ancestry as well as how WWI and WWII impacted her family, beginning with her mother and her father.

Her infinite gratitude for the love she received, the lessons learned, the extraordinary richness that in terms of family traditions and cultural heritage was passed on to her also stands out in her autobiographical novel as well as the accurate descriptions of activities, events and a time million people feel nostalgic about.

“The result is a very beautiful picture of people and situations that retraces the whole Italian twentieth century, both in the country and in the metropolitan area, giving a glimpse of a reality that a few remember.” (From the Foreword  by Dr. Edmondo Marra)
