PTSD: Conquering The Invisible

PTSD: Conquering The Invisible

- A Holistic Approach To Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder -

by

Maria Teresa De Donato, Ph.D., RND, Chom, Life Strategist

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a serious mental health condition that each year disrupts several thousands lives. What can be done to help its victims to better cope with, manage or even overcome it? Regardless of what conventional medicine has accomplished and understood so far by means of clinical studies, this essay, through its holistic approach takes into account several methodologies - including herbalism, homeopathy, hypnosis, relaxation and meditation techniques along with many others - that can be used either as stand-alone or as complementary therapies to help the victims to find different ways to approach the disorder, have a better and healthier lifestyle and, hopefully, work towards a full recovery and, whenever possible, even prevention.
